 Gabriel
Jacobs - Lead Vocals What'll really capture and hold you are those solid-gold-plated pipes of his. Gabriel had classical music training early in his life at some of the finest institutions for the arts in Dallas, D.C. and Argentina. He began playing the guitar at age eight, and picked up woodwinds along the way, and had formed his first rock band before graduating from Middle School. His talents continued to develop and he was selected to be a featured soloist in a National Young American Choir. He began a national tour with the Glam Band "Fantasia" in the 80's. After moving to Minnesota, he further developed his skills and augmented his education at Minneapolis' Music Tech, making contacts in the Twin Cities' music industry. He took his pick from many auditions for various working groups and original projects; one, of which, was Blue Rain. He settled into a great group of musicians here in Minneapolis, which in time, evolved into a local cover band "Froze in Time", where he developed his best and most enduring friendships. Gabe
credits friend Dan Haima and the guys in "Froze in Time" for
bringing out the superb-showman with their, not so gentle, prodding.
He began as a shy guy with a good voice and developed into a vocal dynamo.
Gabriel has developed mastery in the art of drawing out a crowd. Determined
to take his talents to a higher level, in the music scene, he moved
on to a larger and more widely known act, the hot ticket band Jonah
and the Whales, as a rhythm guitarist and harmony vocalist. In 2002
an opportunity presented itself for him to bask, once again, in the
warm glow of the spotlight, as a front man, in the smoking hot rock
band "Shattered Image", which later became Series5. |
